The South Sudan Legislative Assembly (SSLA) has discussed on Wednesday the forthcoming elections, referendum, and the security situation in the south as well as the 5th Sudan Population and Housing Census results. The Deputy Chairperson of Public Service and Administrative Reform in the assembly, Wol Deng Atack, said the the SSLA has rejected the results of the Census which was conducted in the year 2008.
Mr. Atack described the census results as against what is stipulated in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
Atack urged the Council of Ministers in the Government of Southern Sudan to address and present urgent and important matters to the assembly.
However, the South Sudan Legislative Assembly is expected to resolve the issue of the census results next Monday.
